The Therapy Journals of the Fat-Headed Klingon Woman

One woman's journey to becoming Her True Self

If Only We All Had This Mind… April 25, 2010

Hello all- I found this song on Mighty Maggie’s other blog, Where The Catholic Sun Doth Shine.  These lyrics made me cry.  Some parts of other religions sometimes make sense to me, at least the way other people describe them.  The recitations, the beads, the calming rituals.  My spiritual self has been sadly neglected lately.  I have simply got to work on that, no question about it.  I had these lyrics posted privately, and I thought today was a good day to move them to the public side.  I hope everyone reads them and thinks about what they mean and how you can impliment this attitude in your own life.  For me, I implemented them by willingly and gladly arranging to give my ex-husband a ride back to where he lives so he can try to make things work with his wife.

Love and Blessings to all.

Until next time,

D.

Will you let me be your servant, let me be as Christ to you?
Pray that I might have the grace to let you be my servant, too.

We are pilgrims on a journey, we are trav’lers on the road.
We are here to help each other walk the mile and bear the load.

I will hold the Christ-light for you in the night time of your fear.
I will hold my hand out to you, speak the peace you long to hear.

I will weep when you are weeping, when you laugh I’ll laugh with you.
I will share your joy and sorrow till we’ve seen this journey through.

When we sing to God in heaven, we shall find such harmony,
born of all we’ve known together of Christ’s love and agony.

Will you let me be your servant, let me be as Christ to you?
Pray that I might have the grace to let you be my servant to
